On Thursday September 28, 2006 the Los Angeles Philharmonic invited Samvel, Leslie and eight lucky VYMA students to attend their Gala Opening Night Concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall as the guests of Mr. & Mrs. Binder. After mingling with the black tie crowd and walking up the red carpet the VYMA kids enjoyed a reception of punch and cookies before the concert. Perched above the orchestra in front row balcony seats the kids were able to observe all the dazzling technique being displayed by the wonderful philharmonic players below. A glamorous time was had by all!
