Rehearsal on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2001 was a little different than usual. The location was the same, the orchestra members were the same, but there was something electric in the air. Doug Cameron brought in his bright blue electric violin and played a
jazz concert, just for VYMA. At the end of the concert, the entire orchestra accompanied Doug in a soaring jazz version of America the Beautiful. It was so much fun, they played it again! And then the kids lined up to play a few licks on the electric blue fiddle. Now that’s a new reason to practice!
