Ms. Rudin holds a B.F.A in Acting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She started dancing at age three, in creative movement classes. By age eleven she was in formal ballet training with the Olga Verzar studio. She performed in many ballet recitals, dancing in the corps as well as having featured roles and performing pas de deux. She also studied and performed with Ballet Long Island. She continued on to a performing arts high school, where as a musical theater major, her dance ability was strong and they allowed her to study with the dance department. She took ballet, modern dance with a dancer from Alvin Ailey, jazz with a |
| Broadway choreographer, and theater dance. While attending NYU, she also studied modern dance in the dance department, as well as taking the required dance classes as an acting major. She studied dance outside of school as well, mostly at Broadway Dance Center in New York City, and she continued to do so throughout her years in NYC. She was fortunate to study ballet with Nenette Cherisse, who taught Gwen Verdon; Kat Wildish, and Finus Jung. As a professional, she has been hired as a dancer for many musicals, including Carousel, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and A Chorus Line. She toured the country as a dancer in Sesame Street Live for three years performing in such venues as Madison Square Garden in NYC, and The Fox theater in Detroit. As a teacher, she loves introducing children to the arts, and enjoys developing talent. |
